Join Reality TV Stars in a Volunteering and Adventure Challenge in Uganda

In June each year Madventurer runs a 2 week ‘Chief’s Challenge’ which combines an adventurous activity with volunteering. The 2012 Chief’s Challenge will be to cycle from Jinja at the Source of the Nile through to the border with Kenya via a trek up Uganda’s Mount Elgon. The end of the adventure section culminates with a transfer back to Jinja to undertake some Grade 5 rafting on the Nile. The remaining time is spent at one of the Project sites that Madventurer supports and volunteering activities will include building, teaching and coaching sport. The Founder of Madventurer, John Lawler, was made a Chief in Ghana during his own Gap Year in 1998 and leads each Chief’s Challenge along with a host of reality TV stars and anyone else who wishes to contribute to Projects and take part. The trip costs £1600 and includes all hotels, camping fees, transfers, cycle-hire, trek fees, meals and support throughout with all proceeds going the MAD Foundation.
