Ban Pran Khang Student Care Centre
Located in a village called Ban Pran Khang, in the Chiang Rai province, this project has been established with a respected NGO in Thailand, The Mirror Art Group, to work with over 8,000 hill tribe people (primarily, Akha and Lahu) with the aim to empower them to improve their lives and deal with the issues that they face, including trafficking in persons, drugs and the lack of Thai citizenship and provide infrastructure and education that will help in their futures.
The goal of the project is to assist with government plans to build a Student Care Centre for about 35 children in the village of nursery age.At present, the children have occasional use of a community hall, but with 2 teachers & no permanent place for teaching, we have recognised the need to provide the children with a safe base for education and play. The villagers are extremely keen to have this building completed and members of the village will volunteer alongside the mad team, in order to ensure the building is completed.
We continue to develop and run projects in this region to this day.
