Update from MAD HQ: Nkwawangya Kindergarten

The purpose of this project was to complete the construction of a kindergarten and a counselling centre. The school was without a kindergarten, it is recent law that all schools in Tanzania must offer a kindergarten facility. Kindergartens offer children the chance to learn how to learn at an early age and hone skills needed to forward in later education.This new law is set with good intention; however with the high level of poverty within Tanzania's majority rural population it is unachievable without outside assistance.

The building required 3 phases to take it to completion for the 2 room block.Volunteers helped with the digging the foundation space, flaying bricks, and filling the foundations with rocks, soil, sand finally a reinforced concrete slab, plastering, painting, flooring and building the veranda.
