Sewa Lanka Toilet Block and Maggona Public Toliet Block

Talpe temple pre-school currently had 43 children and no toilet. There was one temporary toilet which belonged to the temple complex. However, as the cess-pit was almost full and was used by temple visitors and it was not sufficient for the children in the school and was hazardous in terms of health and safety.

This project was to build a simple toilet facility for the children. We also got involved in repairing some small fixtures for the centre, and did some painting which refreshed the school and made it a much more pleasant and welcoming learning environment. I

n Maggona, drop pit latrines were built by Madventurer for families living in Tsunami affected facilities, improving hygiene and health.

Please note that Madventurer no longer operates in Sri Lanka but we do have ongoing projects in Thailand and India.
