The community of Huycho is situated in the sacred valley of the Incas, nestled amongst the interlocking spurs of the sacred valley mountains that dominate the scenery in all directions. It sits at an altitude of 2.900 metres above sea level and the climate is warm during the day and moderately cool at night. The community is made up of 685 inhabitants and 130 families, all of which rely on two water reservoirs or tanks.
The integrity and upkeep of these tanks is perpetual, the focus on clean and safe drinking water from local regional representatives has prompted Madventurer to invest in a project in this community. The project will involve building a protective wall around the two reservoirs that supply and nourish the community, this will provide protection to the water supply and ensure that the water tanks are regularly maintained and kept in good condition.
